"To get something you've never had,
you have to do something you've never done before"
The early years
I am 26 years old, born in Miami, Florida. At the age of 3, my mom, little sister and I moved to a small town in Upstate NY right outside of Albany. I played soccer all throughout middle school and high school although I never really felt passionate about a sport and really just played because thats what all of my friends were doing.
After high school I stayed local and went to college in Albany NY. Trying to figure out what I wanted to do for the rest of my life was a struggle so I didn’t take school too seriously.
Starting my Sophomore year, I lived off campus on my own and thats when the partying started. I would stay out all night and skip school to sleep during the day. I was not taking good care of my body at all and eventually got Mono. I was out of class for 3 months and was suppose to be resting but that didn’t happen. Although I was sick, I went out drinking every single night. Sunday-Sunday I was at a bar. I was going through a breakup and used alcohol to numb the pain. Eventually I dropped out of school because my life was spiraling out of control. I was out on my own, started waitressing at TGI Friday’s and that is where I met the man who introduced me to lifting.
A WEIGHTLIFTER WAS BORN
Lifting weights is where I let my mind escape. No matter what was going on in my life (work, friends, boys, family) I knew I could escape it all in the gym. Seeing my strength improve was the ultimate motivator. In the early stages of my fitness journey, good nutrition was still lacking. I was a waitress who worked late nights, would go out drinking with my coworkers which would send me down a path of binge eating.
I have always been a foodie, so watching what I ate was totally new for me. As the years went on and I learned more about proper nutrition, I would go months of eating 100% perfectly then a few months of lots of drinking and over eating. I never knew the term “binge eating” or “yoyo dieting” existed, so I thought I was the only person having such a hard time juggling food and fitness. December 2016 was when my mindset shifted.
"We control food,
food does not control us!"
Yo-Yo Dieter to Flexible Dieting:
In December 2016, I saw a photo of myself which was taken for a Christmas card and I was in awe. I didn’t recognize myself. I was fully aware that my daily Happy Hour visits were not giving me the body I wanted, but actually seeing what I looked like was a huge eye opener. I was completely devastated after seeing that photo and made a promise to myself that I would live a different life in 2017. If I was unhappy with how I felt and where my body was at, I knew I had to change what I was doing. My metabolism was my first project. I knew I was severely under eating and I wanted this to stop. I would plan to go to Happy Hour every day at 5pm, so my diet consisted of celery and cucumbers so I could save my calories for wine and fried food.
This had to stop if I wanted to change my body but I knew I could not do this alone, I needed the accountability of a coach. Adding carbs into my diet terrified me and I needed someone to tell me it was okay. That is when I enlisted the help of my current coach Paul Revelia. Paul got my carbs over 300 grams and I was leaner then ever before! I always thought I could never have a flat stomach or eat carbs but that was because I never really tried. After 9 straight months of adding in calories, my body never felt or looked better!
Ever since I was in high school I would tell my mom I am not cut out for a typical desk job, “I am meant to do what I love!”
True Story: I was on my lunch break while working at my full time job and I called my mom to vent about how unhappy I was. I just kept telling her over and over that I was meant to help people love themselves in their own skin. I was meant to help people overcome their battles with food and live a happier life just like I was. After lunch I went back to my desk, put on my headphones and pressed play to Amanda Bucci’s most recent YouTube video.
This was the video that changed my life. Amanda was announcing that she wanted to help people become social media influencers and start a career in a field they were passionate about. I immediately forwarded the video to my mom, filled out the application to enter the program and as soon as I hit Send I had a text from my mom saying “OMG she is talking to you!!!”
I was chosen as one of Amanda’s Social Media Masterminds and it changed my life. I was given the guidance to create the life I had always imagined for myself. I am currently an online coach, helping women and men overcome their battles with food. Not only do I teach how to live a flexible dieting lifestyle, I help repair my clients metabolisms so they can live a balanced life while achieving their goal physiques! My passion is to reach as many people as possible and help spread the word that,
